Ferndown is a town and civil parish in the East Dorset district of Dorset, England, situated immediately to the north of Bournemouth. The centre of Ferndown is some 7 miles from Bournemouth railway station and 4 miles from Bournemouth International Airport.The town is well known for the popular tourist attraction of what was once a former convent, Stapehill Abbey and Knoll Gardens can be found within easy driving distance. The town has pleasant pubs, inns, restaurants and cafe's. It lies on the main tourist route to Poole.
