Seaham, formerly Seaham Harbour, is a small town in County Durham, situated six miles to the south of Sunderland and 13 miles east of Durham City. During the early part of this century however, Seaham was completely regenerated. Offering some of the best beaches in the country, these were fully restored and designated in 2001 as a ‘heritage coast’.
