Bolton is a town in Greater Manchester, England. It was historically a part of Lancashire and it was one of the largest and most productive centers of cotton manufacture in the world. Bolton Town Hall - Situated in the town centre, the Town Hall is an imposing neoclassical building and it was designed by William Hill who later designed the Portsmouth Guildhall. Bolton is home to the Premier League football club, Bolton Wanderers F.C and is also home to one of North West England's largest Field Hockey Clubs, Bolton Hockey Club. Today Bolton is noted for its excellent shops and nightlife.
