Skipton town is known as the "Gateway to the Dales" in the North Yorkshire, England. It is an attractive resort town, with lots of pleasant places to see such as Skipton Castle- The castle has stood for 900 years, built in 1090 by Robert de Romille, a Norman baron. The town is also home to Sipton Town A.F.C., Skipton Bulldogs, and Skipton LMS and Skipton Building Society. Skipton offers excellent shopping and has many pubs, restaurants and cafe's. The town is enclosed by fantastic scenery in all directions.
